Atherton Tablelands

After leaving Alice Springs we were on our way to Cairns, to begin our journey down the East coast. We had a few different choices in which route to take and in the end we decided to travel via the Atherton Tableland region. It was another example of just how diverse the environments are in Australia. We found ourselves in a tropical dairy land, the climate was cooler, the grass greener and it was the first time we had seen dairy cows in I don’t know how long! Driving around the lanes to visit waterfalls you sometimes forgot you were in Australia entirely. These photos show our visit to Millstream and Little Millstream Falls near to Ravenshoe.
