Uluru Part I

Uluru is one of the most well-known Australian images and I couldn’t come to the other side of the world without visiting the natural wonder. We had planned to walk the whole circumference of the rock, to take in as much of the rock as we could but unfortunately due to the extreme heat they closed the base walk early in the day and so we were only able to walk to a few sites around the base. Up close to Uluru you can see all the different textures within the rock and how it was used by the locals to provide shelter from the elements with some of their rock art still visible in the caves.
