These photos were taken at one of our last campsites in Western Australia before we crossed over into the Northern Territory. When we pulled up to our free campsite, named “gravel pit” I wasn’t expecting it to be much. The campsite itself was as expected, no facilities but somewhere to pitch our tents for the night and far enough from the road that we wouldn’t be disturbed by road trains. The sunset made it. That night we all sat up on the hill in our camp chairs watching the sun go down over the highway.
