Just off the road to Warrnambool from Port Fairy is Tower Hill Reserve. The road from the highway takes you down into the extinct volcano’s crater to the information centre. Throughout the crater are different bushwalking trails of different lengths and difficulties. We opted for the peak climb, a short walk (it was only a kilometre return approximately) that takes you up a steep ascent to offer some views of the crater. After making our way back down the track we stopped for a look around the information centre and an ice cream, before Jack embarked on his latest selfie challenge with an emu. From the information centre we followed the road back out of the crater to rejoin the highway and continue onto Warrnambool.
