When we arrived at our house sit, the home-owner had left us a huge supply of leaflets detailing things to do and see in the local area. One that caught our eye was the Gorge Wildlife Park, it was only 40 minutes from our suburbs, $15 dollar entry each and you could hold a koala at no extra cost. We headed to the park the next time the forecast didn’t show rain (it rained for two days, I had to buy a raincoat!). The Gorge Wildlife Park was well worth the trip, with walk through enclosures we were able to get up-close to kangaroos and wallabies (you may have seen the selfies already! If not they are on my Instagram in the top drop-down menu) and hold a koala each at the scheduled sessions.
