Glenelg

Our discovery of Glenelg on Good Friday was unexpected (you now get a sense of when things happen and when I post them, I am working on reducing the gap between but there is too much to write about at the moment!). We had heard of the town but hadn’t planned to venture there so soon after arriving to Adelaide. As it happened we boarded the tram, swiped our Metro cards (having being used to the idea of the Oyster) only to find you do not need to swipe to travel within the city (the trams are free between North and South Terrace) and so had been charged the full fare to ride to the end of the line if we wished… Not wishing to waste the paid fare we rode the tram all the way to Glenelg and the sea front. Here we were greeted with sunshine, soft sands and the sea. We walked along the jetty, sunned ourselves before finding fish and chips to celebrate Good Friday.
