A Walk to Angaston

About 7km from Nuriootpa is a town called Angaston and connecting the two is a cycle track built on the old railway line. We pulled on our trainers but decided to walk rather than cycle the track, we needed to do some exercise to burn off all the food and wine consumed! The walk took us through several harvested vineyards and up the hill into Angaston. Sheltering from the mid-day heat (in true British fashion we seem to only do our activities in the mid-day heat, craving that strong sun) we had a couple of skewys in the hotel before wandering back along the track, stopping to pick prickly pears, some left over grapes off the vines and a bag of almonds from the trees lining the path.
